Shivamogga news / ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ ನಗರದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಚಾರ ನಿಯಮಗಳನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟುನಿಟ್ಟಾಗಿ ಜಾರಿಗೆ ತಂದಿರುವ ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ ಟ್ರಾಫಿಕ್ ಪೊಲೀಸರ ಸಂಚಾರ ಜಾಗೃತಿಯ ವಿಡಿಯೋವೊಂದು ನಿನ್ನೆ ವೈರಲ್ ಆಗಿತ್ತು. ಇದರ ಬೆನ್ನಲ್ಲೆ ಪಶ್ಚಿಮ ಸಂಚಾರ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಠಾಣೆಯ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿ, ಸಿಸಿ ಕ್ಯಾಮೆರಾ ಆಧಾರಿತ ಇಂಟಿಗ್ರೇಟೆಡ್ ಟ್ರಾಫಿಕ್ ಮ್ಯಾನೇಜ್‌ಮೆಂಟ್ ಸಿಸ್ಟಂ (ITMS) ತಂತ್ರಾಂಶದ ನೆರವಿನಿಂದ ಸಂಚಾರಿ ನಿಯಮ ಉಲ್ಲಂಘಿಸಿದ ಬೈಕ್ ಮಾಲೀಕರೊಬ್ಬರಿಂದ ಬರೋಬ್ಬರಿ ₹11,000 ದಂಡ ಸಂಗ್ರಹಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ದಿನಾಂಕ ಜೂನ್ 17, 2025ರಂದು ಪಶ್ಚಿಮ ಸಂಚಾರ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಠಾಣೆಯ ಪಿ.ಎಸ್.ಐ. ತಿರುಮಲೇಶ್ ಮತ್ತು ಅವರ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿಯವರು ನಡೆಸಿದ ಕಾರ್ಯಾಚರಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ಮೊತ್ತದ ದಂಡ ವಸೂಲಿ ಮಾಡಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಇನ್ನೂ ದಂಡದ ರಸೀದಿಯ ಉದ್ದ ಎರಡು ಮಾರಿನಷ್ಟಿದ್ದು, ಅದರ ಫೋಟೋ ಅಬ್ಬಬ್ಬ ಎನಿಸುವಂತಿದೆ. ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ ನಗರದ ವಿವಿಧೆಡೆ ಅಳವಡಿಸಲಾಗಿರುವ ಸಿಸಿ ಕ್ಯಾಮೆರಾಗಳು ಆಕ್ಟೀವ್ ಆಗಿದೆ ಎಂಬುದಕ್ಕೆ ನಿನ್ನೆಯ ವೈರಲ್ ವಿಡಿಯೋ ಹಾಗೂ ಇವತ್ತಿನ ದಂಡ ವಸೂಲಿಯ ರಶೀದಿ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಯಾಗಿದೆ.

Shivamogga: ₹11,000 Fine Collected from Bike Owner for Traffic Violations Under ITMS Camera Surveillance
SHIVAMOGGA, June 18, 2025: Following a viral traffic awareness video, Shivamogga Traffic Police, who have been strictly enforcing traffic rules in the city, have collected a hefty fine of ₹11,000 from a bike owner for multiple traffic violations. This was achieved with the help of the Integrated Traffic Management System (ITMS) software, which uses CCTV camera footage.
The operation, which led to the recovery of this substantial fine, was carried out on June 17, 2025, by PSI Tirumalesh and his team from the West Traffic Police Station. The length of the challan receipt, reportedly two “maaru” (a traditional unit of measurement, roughly equal to a cubit), with its photo going viral on social media, has caused quite a stir.
Both yesterday’s viral traffic awareness video and today’s fine collection receipt serve as clear evidence that the CCTV cameras installed across Shivamogga city are fully active. This proactive measure by the traffic police is expected to further enhance public awareness and adherence to traffic rules.
